Autism Mini-Grant Announcement
The National Autism Association of Pennsylvania (NAA-PA) is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for its 2008 Helping Hand Program. NAA-PA will be awarding mini-grant funds up to $300 for local families in Central Pennsylvania dealing with autism in need of financial assistance.
The focus of this project is to reach out and serve individuals with an autism spectrum disorder and to defray the cost of services that are not covered by private health insurance and Medical Assistance. Examples of covered services include biomedical treatments (IE: physician visits/testing), supplements, therapy services (IE: ST/OT/PT/Social Skills) and safety modifications for the home.
Service providers, early intervention agencies, schools, parents, autism organizations and friends/families of parents caring for a person with autism are encouraged to forward this information to those they believe would benefit. Grants will be awarded to qualifying families that reside in Lancaster, Lebanon, York, Dauphin, Berks and southern Chester Counties.
Download and review our grant application. Applications must be completed and postmarked by September 30, 2008.

Green Our Vaccines Rally
Over 8,000 parents and loved ones came to Washington DC on June 4, 2008 with Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey to raise their voices! It was a great march, rally and meeting time with Senators and Representatives. Our vaccines are too toxic and we are administering TOO MANY TOO SOON.
Thank you Jenny, Jim and all of the organizations who coordinated this historic event! Our voices were heard and we need to continue to make it happen so vaccine induced autism does not happen to the next generation of children!
